
There is reasoning behind why accepting yourself is one of the most important aspects in living towards happiness.
The stage of acceptance means that we are satisfied with the results, the outcome. Likewise, whenever we are in the stage of denial, it means we want something better. We will always go through this stage in life where we refuse one thing for something better.
There are many individuals who are often in denial of themselves. They always find something to complain about and never give their selves the credit needed. For instance many people will experience an epiphany whenever they come close to a near-death experience. Whenever this happens, people realize how much more beautiful life is. It gives them a sudden and better understanding of reality and themselves.
Too often people cut themselves short, but for what reason? We may not favor our own attributes, but putting ourselves in denial is giving up. When anyone gives up, they are emphasizing that they are without value?how is that of a change to bring them back up?
Security is when everything is settled. When nothing can happen to you. Security is the denial of life.

It is understandable that we may not favor one thing, but to put that energy in our mind to think that it is an absolute is what causes denial.
We will always desire for something better in terms of favorable quality. There are times where we may even stress over it, but stress is a part of life and it?s what reminds us that we?re living. We live in order to better ourselves with the circumstances that we have to work with, and that is what makes life so beautiful.
Accepting yourself from further denial is also a path to happiness. One of the metaphors that I like to compare this with is an alarm clock.

By denying yourself you stuff these negative thoughts in the back of your head; you are hitting on that snooze button on your alarm clock. Everything is nice and peaceful for five minutes until it comes back ringing in your ear. Then what? You can either hit the snooze button again for another 5 minute of peace, or you can wake up to detach yourself from this agonizing cycle.
Being able to stop yourself from denial is waking up! When you wake up, you no longer bear the cycle that keeps you happy for 5 temporary minutes. Accepting who you are will lead to the realization that you are what you have, and that you must work with what you can. This is what makes life beautiful. Stopping denial and accept with what you have. You will discover that happiness is just around the corner and that life is all of a sudden more beautiful.
